My Story

Enjoy the soothing honey aroma of our handmade beeswax candles made in Stratford, ON, Canada. All candles are made with 100% local beeswax and 100% pure cotton square braided wick. I have been hand pouring beeswax candles since February 2012.

Hello everyone, I am Cassandra. The sole owner/operator behind Lady Green Inc. I started making soy candles in the winter of 2011 after spilling paraffin wax candles, and just couldn’t get them off of my furniture. This made me to start reading about the harmful effects of paraffin wax candles (a petroleum by-product); I constantly had headaches but blamed them on life and allergies. I quickly switched to soy candles, but decided to educate my friends and family about them as well. They quickly responded and wanted some of their own.

As I continued on learning about candles, I started testing with beeswax candles and noticed quickly the effects beeswax candles had over myself and my home. I didn’t have any more sensitivity’s to the effects of burning candles. I fully committed to making beeswax candles at this point (February 2012), and haven’t turned back.

In September 2018, I began my journey of working at the local apiary that supplied me with beeswax. I was thrilled to be learning the full process of how the bees create the wax and seeing it first hand. In May of 2020 I started keeping my own bee's and operating my own business full time. 

In May 2023, I stepped away from my business full time after my long term relationship ended. I continue to keep bees, and my passion for my business has increased since it isn't my only focus currently. In November of 2023 my shop had a small fire. I'm thankful that no one was hurt and minimum damage was done. The shop fire taught me that I needed to slow down and work on myself. I took the following 10 months off to work on myself, and become the confident women I have become.

I share my story as a way to help inspire people to create the life they want to live. I am living proof that it is possible.
